Absolutely loved it. I was hoping Lisa would write Bella’s story and she did not disappoint. If you read the Necklace Trilogy, you met Bella, Dash Black’s sister and her boss Tyler Hawk. Tyler happens to be an acquaintance of Dash’s.
Bella is fiercely independent and wants more out of her relationships. She’s smart, beautiful, and suddenly finds herself infatuated with her boss. Because there are some similarities in their personalities, Dash warns Bella to be careful around Tyler. She knows her boss should be off limits and yet she still struggles with her emotions when it comes to Tyler.
Tyler had a rocky relationship with his late father. In his mindset he is not a relationship kind of guy. He has made his share of mistakes that led to the death of the woman he cared about. He swore he would never make the same mistake again. Now in order to receive what’s rightfully his, he needs to fulfill the conditions set forth in his father’s will. Tyler has little choice but to humor his father or face the consequences of his past mistakes.
Tyler and Bella have an attraction that is hard to resist. This attraction mixed with the idea of not mixing business with pleasure creates an internal conflict for both of them. In conjunction to this internal conflict, there are outside forces that create a suspenseful atmosphere around them. Please note, if you are not a fan of cliffhangers, B*stard Boss ends in a cliffhanger and will be continued in Sweet Sinner. So looking forward to its release,
