Kristy looks at me with wide eyes, and my cheeks inflame in mixed embarrassment.
“He asked if this date made me forget all my previous dates. I feel like I’m cheating him, Kris. He is… so… strong, powerful and … experienced, and I’m… me.”

“You were the most beautiful woman today.”
“Then…you didn’t see…other women.” She looks at me from under her bangs, lying flat on her forehead.
“Why would I waste my time looking at anyone else when you are in the crowd, couch girl?” My lips press on her forehead as I try to keep my anxiety for tomorrow in check.
“You mean that?” She releases a deep breath and her hands clutch my arms holding her face.
“I mean every word I say to you, babe.” My lips move from her forehead to her ears.
“Why me, Zander?” She trembles in my arms. Her eyes closed as if she is scared to the know the answer of her own question.
“Because I’m a lucky bastard to have found you, to have you fall in love with me. I’m not going anywhere, Marr. I’m here for keeps.”
“But I-“
My grip on her face tightens as I interrupt her with insistent kisses on her skin. “You are the most amazing woman, who makes my heart stop just by one look.”
“But-“ I put a finger on her lips.
“You can give a million reasons but I’m going nowhere.”
Her breath hitches and she offers me her hand. “Promise?”
You have no idea baby.
I kiss her palm before placing my own hand over hers. “It’s a promise of a life time, couch girl.”

My tongue hesitantly enters his mouth, and he sucks on it hard before biting and sending a jolt between my thighs. A loud moan escapes me, and his hips jerk forward in response. That’s when I feel him, big and hard.
Am I prepared for it tonight?
He places his forehead on my cheek and whispers in a husky voice, “Feel what you do to me.” When I tremble at the feel of his warm breath on my skin, he adds, “Don’t worry, we’ll ignore the little soldier today.”
“He doesn’t feel little,” I murmur back.
Zander chuckles before his voice gets serious. “I’ll never do anything without your permission, you know that right?”
“Yes.” I don’t need to think twice before answering. I trust him completely.
“That’s what’s important. And believe me, in the future, you will be glad he isn’t small.” He winks, making my entire body tingle with that dimple, which is so close to me today.
REVIEW
I’m not one who usually gives a 5 star rating to a debut author, but WOW, Vikki Jay wrote a phenomenal love story.
Beautiful Rose is the wonderfully written debut novel by Vikki Jay. At its heart is the love story between Rose and Zander. Both come from a very painful past which has shaped their adult lives. Full of anxiety, feelings of insecurity, the friendship of supporting characters, and a budding romance, Beautiful Rose encompasses a multitude of raw emotions mixed with the right amount of romantic chemistry.
Throughout the story Rose continues to work through her own insecurities. Change and fear of the unknown fuel her anxiety. As she continues to grow emotionally, she continues to listen and help Zander through his own painful past.
Zander’s love and understanding of Rose comes from a place of knowledge based on his own past. Even though he handles things different than she does, he will fight for her and for them as a couple.
Rose and Zander are very relatable characters and their story will leave you in awe of the resiliency of the human spirit and it’s path to forever happiness. I'm looking forward to reading more about Rose and Zander with the release of Loving Rose. I received an advance copy of Beautiful Rose in exchange for an honest review. About the Author
In those early morning hours when I’m alone, my imaginations run wild and I pen down the life of people living in my head. I live in a small town in Germany. The friendships, the camaraderie that people share around me inspired me to create Cherrywood and St. Peppers, the two towns where all my stories take place.
I write about beautiful coincidences, finding love in unexpected places and times, and fighting hard to get that happily ever after.
I reject reading, seeing, or writing anything that does not promise a HEA.
My characters are sexy yet shy, strong yet reserved…
I am married to a man whom I fell in love with at an age of 15, proposed to him at the age of 23 and married at the age of 30. He has no clue what I write or do when he snoring quietly in the next room.
