One of my top reads of 2021.

Kennedy L. Mitchell has taken romantic suspense to a whole new level. In Covert Vengeance, we see how two broken souls become the perfect badass couple. Both Elliot and Tony have seen their fair share of the best and worst in mankind.

Elliot, a CIA officer, can hold her own against any man. Her scars run deep. Not just from her missions but her childhood as well. Relationships are not a thing that she can handle. She is not one to get personally close with those around her. She is all business. That is until she is sent on another mission.

Tony, a Navy SEAL, is a self described a$$hole and is far from relationship material. He is on top of his game until a mission goes wrong. Loaded with self doubt and “survivor’s remorse” he needs to keep his head in the game. He refuses to let people in until he finds himself on a mission that with the one person that understands the darkest places of his soul.

Their mission is personal. Both Eliot and Tony have Vengeance has a goal while keeping their minds clear of heat between them. They understand each others demons and damaged souls. Kennedy was written an amazing story that captures the gut wrenching emotions while keeping the level of chemistry at a high ended level. I highly recommend getting to know Elliot and Tony.
