I received Poison Kisses as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is part one of three. Each part is released a week from each other. If you don’t like stories written in this manner, I suggest you wait until all three novellas have been released.
Seth, from the Dirty Money Series, is an ex CIA agent who wants revenge. During his days in the CIA he was known as The Assassin. Three years prior to this story, an assignment went horribly wrong. Even going back to the Dirty Money Series, he knew how to get a job done no matter how it needed to be handled.
Amanda was born and raised within the CIA but now she is in hiding. She trusts no one. She’s trained to handle deadly poisons giving her the nickname The Scientist. She let her guard down and is now on the run with the man who was once her partner.
Seth and Amanda do not trust each other and both made it clear that they are willing to kill each other is need be. They seem to have a love-hate relationship that hashes up memories from the past. Hence the mistrust. Both characters are skilled i n what they do and are fiercely independent. But then again, they seem to need each other at the same time. The conflict between their feelings make them seem more like everyday people than the trained agents they are. It works well for these two.
I recommend this but as stated above it’s a three part serial. I enjoyed reading Poison Kisses Part 1 and can’t wait to read the other two.

Image Not Found I received Poison Kisses Part 2 as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Part 2 starts off where Part 1 ended. Seth and Amanda “love”, hate, and distrust each other. No matter what, they knitwear they need to work together to save the nations water supply. Both want answers from each other and the agency. Both Seth and Amanda have grown as characters in this part of the serial. They have increased their honesty with themselves and each other.
I am really enjoying this series. This was published as a serial and each part is a quick read.

Image Not Found I received Poison Kisses Part 3 as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is the final book in the Poison Kisses Series. Unlike parts 1 and 2, which were written from Seth’s point of view (POV), part 3 is written from Amanda’s POV. The beginning is a recap of an incident, but then moves on to conclude the story.
While concluding Seth and Amanda’s story, new characters were introduced and others from the Dirty Money Series play a role in this as well. Whether or not other characters get their own stories is yet unknown. Lisa Renee Jones, in my opinion, has left the door open for that. Once a CIA agent, always a CIA agent.
