I received an advance copy of She Asked For It in exchange for an honest review. I will admit, when I starts ready She Asked For It, I was like oh here we go two young teenage girls sneaking out of the house and going to a party. This isn’t going to end well. I’m glad I finished reading it.
Allison was hellbent on revenge no matter what the cost. She set her life up to make him pay. The idea of revenge has messed up her life. Not caring what other people think about her is a strong character trait. Being blinded by reneged causes her not to think rationally on some level. Then she meets Dean.
Dean, a troubled kid was given one more chance to turn his life around. Being raised by his uncaring mother and step father left him fill with an anger he could not control. With this second chance came college and meetings for his anger management issues. He has been pushed away by just about everyone in his life. Wanting to take advantage of his last chance, Dean tries hard to do what’s right. He meets Allison in class and wants to do right for her but she tries to push him away.
The chemistry between Allison and Dean is strong but her agenda causes her to push him away. No matter what, she was sticking to her plan and it did not include the lines of Dean. Fate has a way of changing things. She was regretting and questioning her course of action but it was too late. Things happened that could never be undone.
I was very impressed with this book. The complexity of Allison and Dean mixed well together. Minor characters, or what seem to be minor, play a pivotal role in the decision making process of both Allison and Dean. I highly recommend She Asked For It. And yes, the title isvery appropriate in more ways than one.
